Tulsi (Holy basil) is the symbol of enhancement  of happiness & prosperity and elimination of sorrows & poverty.

One who worships Tulsi by doing Aarti(devotional song) with kapur(camphor)and recites the following Mantras ,attains happiness and prosperity-

Dukkha daridraya nashini
Sukh saubhagya vardhini
Twam tulsi devyaii namo namaha.          

Shubhamkarotikalyanam
Arogyam dhana sampada
Shatrubuddhi vinashaya
Deepajyotir namo stute

Deepa jyothi parabrahma
Deepajyotir janaardanah
Deepohara tume papam
Sandhya deepa jyotir namostute

Karpur gauram karunaavtaaram

Ganga Dashmi

Every summer, the Ganga Dusshera or Ganga Dashami festival venerates the auspicious occasion of the descent of the sacred river on earth from heaven. On this day, a dip in the holy river invoking the Goddess is said to cleanse all sins. A devotee worships by lighting incense and lamp, and offers sandalwood, flowers, and milk. Fishes and other aquatic animals are fed flour balls.

Devotees like yourself who have found the way to God never dream of exchanging Him for any other happiness; He is seductive beyond thought of competition.

A strong determination to be happy will help you. Do not wait for your circumstances to change, thinking falsely that in them lies the trouble. Do not make unhappiness a chronic habit, thereby afflicting yourself and your associates. It is blessedness for yourself and others if you are happy. If you possess happiness you possess everything; to be happy is to be in tune with God. That power to be happy comes through meditation.
